This is a great opportunity to own a genuine and authentic piece of Red Bull Racing history that has been raced during the FIA Formula One World Championship. Formula One parts are designed to withstand G forces of over 5g, top speeds in excess of 200mph and yet be as light as possible to reduce the overall Formula One car weight.
This race used gearbox casing is from the Red Bull Racing RB5 driven by World Champion Seb Vettel and multiple Formula One race winner Mark Webber
This specially designed gearbox casing is designed and manufactured by Red Bull Racing at the Formula One campus at Milton Keynes in the UK. Adrian Newey designed the Red Bull Racing RB5 which finished a close second to the Brawn GP driven by Jenson Button in the FIA F1 World Championship.
The gearbox casing is a structural member of the Formula One car. Internally it houses the gear ration, gear selection system, carbon clutch, final drive gear and differential. The gearbox is bolted to the engine which in turn is bolted directly to the Formula One chassis. The rear suspension wishbones and push rods are mounted onto the gearbox casing as is the rear wing assembly.
Race used gearbox casings will show signs of wear and use.
