Formula One parts are designed to withstand G forces of over 5g, top speeds in excess of 200mph and yet be as light as possible to reduce the overall Formula One car weight.
This Grand Prix used brake pad is from the front of the Red Bull Racing Formula One race car. The carbon brake operates at 800-900 degrees Celsius during braking at 5G on Formula One cars.
